Seeking or not seeking a permanent job depends on various aspects and situations you come accross.There may be various reasons to substitute your statement.
You may have a job at present which is not well paying and you may have to take up another job to run your family. But you can't afford full-time for both the jobs.Its not only difficult but also impossible. Hence you can take up a temporary job.

How come you think that this study - cum - work will be possible?Yes, it willbe possible only if you work part time or on weekends. And remember this kind of situation will never support you for full time permanent jobs.
Again,if you are a housemaker, then you will have to take care of your family,kids and other chores of the house. But a one man earning in your family will not be enough. Hence, you will need to search for a job yourself. But again there is time constraint. Hence,you may have to take up a part time job and not a permanent one.
